Privacy Policy — Orbwright Grid

Orbwright Grid is a habit and practice tracker that keeps your records on your own phone. This policy describes exactly what stays local, what does not, and why.
Short version
Everything you track — your habits, the days you logged, your targets, reminder times and settings — is stored only on your device and is never uploaded.
The app makes no network requests of its own at all. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
If you buy Pro, the purchase is handled by the Google Play Store app already on your phone. We never see your payment details, and no third-party billing service is involved.
What is stored on your device
- The habits or practices you create, and their names, colours, icons, schedules and targets
- Every day you logged, and how much you logged on it
- Reminder times you set
- Your app settings, including the focus pack and theme
This lives in a private database only Orbwright Grid can read. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it. Because there is no server copy, a lost or reset phone means lost history — export a backup somewhere you trust.
What leaves your device
Payments
Purchases are processed by Google Play, through the Play Store app on your device. Orbwright Grid never sees or stores your payment details, and asks Play directly whether your purchase is active — that question never leaves your phone either. Manage or cancel a subscription in Google Play at any time. Google's policy: policies.google.com/privacy
Backups you choose to send
"Export backup" writes a file and hands it to Android's share sheet. You choose where it goes — a cloud drive, an email to yourself, local storage. Orbwright Grid never uploads it anywhere on its own, and we never receive a copy.
What we never collect
- Analytics or usage tracking of any kind
- Advertising identifiers
- Your location
- Your contacts, photos, or files other than a backup you explicitly pick
- Any content of the habits you track
Permissions
- Notifications — requested only when you switch on a reminder. Reminders are scheduled by your own phone; nothing is sent from a server.
- Alarms & reminders — optional. Granting it lets a reminder arrive at the minute you chose instead of whenever the system next batches alarms. Declining changes nothing else.
- Storage access — used only at the moment you pick a backup file to restore. The app reads that one file and nothing else.
Children
Orbwright Grid is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Your control
- Delete everything — uninstall the app.
- Take your data with you — Settings → Export backup produces a readable JSON file you own.
- Cancel a subscription — through Google Play, at any time.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version is published at this address and the date at the top changes with it.
